Prof Dr Renata Mieńkowska-Norkiene (fellow) - Poland

Renata Mieńkowska-Norkiene is an associate professor of political science at the University of Warsaw. She is also a sociologist and a mediator living in Warsaw and in Luxembourg. She is a professional with over 15 years of experience in connecting conducting scientific research (mainly in the field of political theories, European integration, gender equality and conflict resolution) with teaching (both within formal as well as non-formal system) and popularizing science. Prof. Mieńkowska-Norkiene lectured at Mykolas Romeris University of Vilnius, Liechtenstein-Institut, EURAC European Academy, London School of Economics and Political Science, Université Libre de Bruxelles and SciencePo in Paris. She worked in the European Commission and she is a member of a network of the European Commission’s experts – Team Europe. For more than 10 years she worked as a Director of the Centre for Social Activities operating in the field of youth work and non-formal learning, civic education; active participation in developing strategies of more active youth participation in civil society. She is a Chairwoman of the Programme Council of the International Institute of Covil Society. Prof. Mieńkowska-Norkiene cooperates with numerous scientific journals (as a reviewer), NGOs (as a member of Program Councils) and the media (as a commenting expert). She is an author of more than 70 scientific publications.
