Patricia V. Tapia is the EU representative of AJE Peru and an Ambassador of the Young Entrepreneurs wing of the Iberoamerican Federation (La Federación Iberoamericana de Jóvenes Empresarios, FIJE). She received a double Research Masters degree (MIB LIC.) from a joint scholarship programme in International Business Management offered by the Furtwangen University in Freiburg, Germany and San Martin de Porres in Lima, Peru. Tapia also holds a Bachelor Licentiate from the latter institution. She specialises in the ethics of AI in smart city innovations and she has co-published several academic articles on sustainability and urban applications in that regard. Her current research project at the Leibniz University in Hannover looks at the interface between technology and urban development from an ethics
perspective. Tapia has given several lectures at international conferences about the ethics of AI and smart cities looking at the nexus between business innovation, gender and Artificial Intelligence. In 2024, she was nominated as a Fellow of The European Institute for International Law and International Relations. She is currently setting up the European-Peruvian Council, a research and consultancy think-tank based in Germany and Peru.
